I am from EU, and I plan to apply for DTV visa as a remote worker (in Hanoi or HCMC, or maybe Taipei), but I struggle with a requirement of job contract, or a contract with a client.

I have as my income is more of a "passive". I don't work for clients, I work for myself and sell my own mobile applications on Play Store & Apple Store. I get paid monthly by Google / Apple. It's kinda similar as selling a book on Amazon or living off Youtube content etc.

All I can show is a link to these stores with my apps & my name next to it. Would that be sufficient proof/document?

Or would it be better to just apply for soft power using an agent? Thank you!

I'm planning to apply as a remote worker and have seen posts about applicants being asked to provide payslips and proof of salary deposits in their bank statements. I use two different accounts—a checking and a savings account. My salary is automatically deposited into my checking account, but I keep most of my funds in my savings, which is what I intend to use as proof of 500K. I’d rather not transfer the 500K to my checking account because I’d have to wait a full month for my bank statement to reflect the amount. Any advice on how to navigate this?

DTV (Remote worker) Approved within 10days (6 working-days)!

I gathered the following documents and submitted as per the required & paid 120,000 Rs (13700 bath). [[members only])

- Biodata page of Passport.

- Digital Photograph.

- Current location proof in PDF.

- Financial evidence: amount of 500,000+ THB (used fixed deposit & bank balance), bank statements & sponsorship letter from the company. All documents in one PDF.

- Employment contract in PDF.

After 2 days asking to upload all pages of my passport & upload.

After 2 I had an Interview at the Embassy in Colombo with all the hardcopies that were submitted & had a quick discussion (5 minutes).

Today got the Approved with a very easy process.

Thanks for everyone 🤘 & I have one question for you about the flight booking, do I need to show the round-way air tickets at the airport immigration?

DTV Approved in Hanoi in 5 days. 🎉🇹🇭

- We Submitted Sunday 9th February 7pm.

- Tuesday 11th February changed to Pending Approval.

-Friday 14th February 6pm. My visa Approved.

- Saturday 15th February 6pm. - My partner was approved (Who knew the embassy worked weekends 🤔)

We submitted a 'super pack' that had all the requested documents but I also searched this group for any additional documents others had been asked for and simply included it all in the supporting documents area.

30+pages in total all as one single PDF with a Table of Contents Page indicating where each document was located. We used the website ilovepdf to merge the docs together.

Proof of funds:

6 months bank statements and 6 months corresponding payslips.

We both had the full amount in account for 6 months although I don't believe this is a requirement. I imagine they want to see that the amount is on account when you apply and will remain there. So the longer it's been there the better.

Supporting docs included were:

1. Cover letter (why I want to be in Thailand and why they should give me a visa - if you're stuck for ideas ask everybody's favourite AI agent to write it for you)

2. Letter from employer explicitly stating that I can work remotely and the company doesn't trade in Thailand

3. Employment contract

4. Proof of company registration from HMRC in the UK

5. Resume/CV

6. University Degree

7. Screenshot of my linkedin

8. Screenshot of company website

If I can offer you any advice at all,

1. less is NOT more in this instance. Add as much information up front as possible to save yourself the hassle of having to send in more documents or having an interview.

2. Make your application look professional. The table of contents with page number headings may not have made any difference at all, or it may have made all the difference. It only took me an additional 30minutes to do so was well worth it.

That's it. Good luck

Thanks for coming to my TED talk. 😅

Hey!

I applied for a DTV in Taiwan (workation. I work remotely in an international company) and got all documents approved. The next step is that for some reason, they asked me to come to an interview.

Did anyone have an interview in Taipei in the last month?

What are they asking there, and is there anything extra they will ask me to show? I want tomake sure that I'll have everything and be prepared.

Thanks!

Hello everyone, I know this question has been asked plenty of times but my situation doesn’t quite align with the similar ones found in search. I am applying in Ho Chi Minh as a remote worker. The question is the place of issue for the passport, my mexican passport issued in Shanghai has a remark about issuing state code as MEX and just a remark in the right bottom as SHANGHAI. Is it correct to select Shanghai as place of issue even if on the passport there are no exact remarks for this as “place of issue”? Thanks so much in advance

I see the same sentiments all over regarding already submitted documentation and the embassies get back to you asking for exactly the documentation you have already sent.

In particular for those who sent bigger packages of documentation in the case of applying as freelancer/working remotely.

It seems that very often the staff looking at these documents only fast glance and then very often ask for is already submitted even if you have a cover letter specifying each item included.

What's your experience on the topic?
