Okay, so I was approved for the DTV. Is there any reporting I need to do for my residence (I have a lease that I started when I was on a tourist visa)? Do I need up update my landlord regarding my new visa status?
Just read an article that in May 20 25, they are re-implementing the TM6. It will be a digital version and will be up to you to keep it up-to-date as you change residence during your stay in Thailand. The article also said that it will eventually replace the TM 30. So all in all I guess it’s a good thing. They also said everyone no matter what type of visa you are on will be required to keep an update TM6 digital copy. And of course, failure to do so will result in fines or penalties. This is as per the Pattaya Mail
How long do you have to report residence after arrival ? Yes I know the property owner has to do it but my lady has never done it so getting all the info sorted so we get it right Thanks
So I recently returned from Thailand after saying a couple of months at a friends. I had no idea about the TM30 at the time and only been reading up on it now.
I know one wouldn't have been filed for me for my 2 month stay. And I will plan to return in a few months, can this cause any issues for me? Or just a genuine mistake.
I’m coming to Thailand on Wednesday, 30 day visa exempt. My wife rents her apartment. The landlord has no idea about the tm30 reporting. So, I’m going to head to the immigration office on Thursday with my wife. What information will she need to bring with her?
I'd like to share my experience from today, if it's nothing new feel free to delete:
I went to muang thon thani immigration office today because after sending my tm30 twice via post without receiving the receipt i decided to go in person and ask them about it. They asked me for the tracking number but i had not kept the receipt from the post office but the lady was so kind as to check in the computer. She said i did tm30 last year already and wouldn't have to do it again. But since the last time i had left the country and stayed in various hotels (longest for two weeks in quarantine) that should have submitted a tm30 which would require to submit a new one after returning to my apartment. By the way, prior to the submission via post i called the immigration hotline and asked for specific information about how to successfully do it per post and where to send it to but still didn't succeed.
I entered Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa, got a 30-day extension (which expires today) and then a 60-day covid extension that expires in November.
When I applied for the covid extension, a note was attached to my passport saying that they have received a notification of staying in Thailand for more than 90 days (it was after ~2 months of my stay in Thailand), although I just applied for the covid extension and not a 90-day report. The note also says I need to report my address on November 10th.
Has my first 90-day stay been reported, or I need to go again to the immigration office to sort it out?
I am trying to do my TM30 in BKK and today I did not have all the paper work but the officer added something about Power of Attorney from the house owner. Do I really need it in order to file the TM30 for myself?
