Hi everyone, I’m a bit confused about the 500k baht financial requirement for the DTV.

Do I need to show a bank statement with 500k baht maintained for the past 3 months, or can I use payslips/client invoices to prove I have the equivalent income?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For the Thailand DTV visa, the financial requirement of maintaining 500,000 baht generally needs to be proven through official bank statements. While some confusion exists about acceptable documentation, comments clarify that only bank-issued statements are recognized, and the specific duration for which the funds must be present can vary by embassy.

Bank statement, like it asks

You need to have the whole amount in your bank account

Only official bank-issued statements are accepted. Whether you need to have had the money there for 1 day, 1 month, 3 month or 6 months totally depends on each embassy.

Is there anywhere I can find out how long I need to have money in my account for each embassy?

Understood. So I’d have to get my bank to send me a verification / signed document that the payments (from clients in my case) are real?

the important thing is that you can show a closing balance above 500k baht. If you can't do that you won't get the visa

Gotcha. And is there any available info on which embassy’s care about the 3 months, 6 months, etc? As
@Elías *******
mentioned…

try searching in the group or checking specific embassy website sites but as I understand it even those that want to see 6 months of statements are mostly just wanting to see the activity on the account and then apply closing balance above 500k

yes, although they don't care much about the detail of the payments, rather they you so have the balance of over 500K baht (or its equivalent). Even if you did receive a lot of money, if the final (current) balance is below 500K, they won't grant it.
