This is where there is some confusion

So I'm coming on a dtv visa as I work online.

Wife and 2 children as spouse and dependents

First set of documents they asked for sponsorship letter to say I am responsible for finances of wife and children

Now they're requesting the wife's bank account details to show the minimum amount I had to show.

Despite the fact in uk she is a homemaker, luckily, we use her account as our savings so there's a large amount in there.

But it seems they are being more thorough in uk with documents

I'm in same position,

They wanted flight info, so booked for 9th December

Additional documents were sent on 20th November

Still awaiting approval

There is nothing to say you can't apply and arrive in thailand before granted. It is a risk,

But if you use a vpn to upload documents from within thailand,

And hope they don't ask for an interview, all should be fine

I hope anyway,

Mines been pending approval after document checks since 29th November

sorry to jump in,

But dtv only allows 180 days at a time. The reason behind this duration is because if you stay for over 180 consecutive days you must register for tax.

You wouldn't have stayed over that yet as for your dtv to lick in you would have left the country and re entered to activate it.
