I have had it with the ‘farang’ label. If after three years they still can’t use the name my parents gave me then I don’t use their name. I use other words to call them.
I am British. They are not interested in what money I have in a U.K. bank just where it came from on an up to date monthly basis. A pension statement or salary slips. I had all the FTT transactions to show but didn’t care.
I went down that route LAST year and only by their grace I got LAST years extension. This office wants to see proof of monthly income in the U.K. BEFORE I do the international transfer. As it’s savings then they are not interested due to potential money laundering activity. That’s why I had to switch to 800K THIS year.
not for me it wasn’t last time. They didn’t care. All mine were done via TransferWise and marked as International. They said unless they can see where the money came from BEFORE it is transferred then they consider money laundering activity.
Have proof of where the monthly income comes from. My IO would not accept banked money 🤷♂️ wanted a pension income proof or salary. But as others have said it depends where you go and which IO you speak to. Good luck.
