If you are over 50 you can get a Non O-A visa which gives you a year on entry.

You typed as I was. You will be able to move around Pattaya as you want but check in with the hotel each day.

that’s Sandbox not quarantine. If fully vaccinated but not coming from a country on the list.

If not vaccinated then it’s quarantine.

Yes, hopefully more things will be confirmed after tomorrow’s meeting - though it might then go to Cabinet on Tuesday. It’s beginning to shape up, at least.

The first 2 sections of Who Can Apply are assumptions on their part.

None of the low risk countries are confirmed. Yes, the PM mentioned 5 but there’s no guarantee they’ll be on the list.

Also, they are assuming that 7 nights in SHA+ hotel will be required for all new ‘sandboxes’. We don’t know that yet either.

Finally, they say all countries not on low risk list will be allowed in new sandboxes but CCSA has already said it will be Medium Risk list only.

I could go on about other sections of their site but, frankly, I can’t be bothered. There’s been inaccurate information on this site for years.

Yes, if its correct. Some of the things they say are a guess on their part so I really wouldn’t rely on it. A lot of the information on this site is often out of date or just plain wrong.

There are a number of assumptions in that article about things that have not been confirmed yet. It’s really not a reliable site.

It varies by Embassy but it should be fine if all you need is the CofE.

Yes. The 800k is just for the annual Extension of Stay if you want to be able to live in Thailand, or visit for long periods each year.

Then she can get a Non O visa ‘for Retirement’. Pretty easy from London. It would give her 90 days that she extend for another 30 days at Thai Immigration.

She could even stay 15 months, though that needs money in thai bank (unless you pay an agent) and use Extensions to visit each year without getting another visa. (It would mean paying an agent 12-15k or so each year).
