i live in Jomtien lucky i can walk or catch baht bus because traffic is terrible but i have found a few places to get away for a month during the peak months
i played it safe and have a Thai bank account and a Philippines account with money in both and use when im in either country if the exchange rate is poor at the moment down 20% in Australia and i believe its going to get worse under Trump?
well i have bank of Bangkok account luckily i have a good amount in there before the collapse of the Aussie dollar from when i sent money it was 25baht to the dollar now 21.4 and another account in the Philippines so i only send money when the exchange rate is high, do have to draw cash out every time ?
it depends what limit you have and what country you are from i know the Australian banks charge $14 for withdrawals using your card at Thai ATMs but i carry a WISE card put money in it prior to travel
no problem with the amount of times you can travel back into Thailand as long as you fly from another country i fly into Thailand for 6 weeks fly back to Perth and the same day fly back to Thailand for 6 weeks all year round for the last 2 years that's 8 trips a year i keep all my free medical and cheap medication and evev my rental assistance which pays for my flights
i have driven around Thailand plenty of times the trip is great some nice places along the way cheap hotels get a international licence its valid for 3 months message me if you want to know more and where to visit im not a fan of Phuket but each to there own
don't get it like me when my time comes to kick the bucket so be it, the price, they want from me because i have a pacemaker is so high i cannot afford to live in Thailand so i just canceled it and got funeral insurance, I get free medical if i make it back to Australia 5 hour 30 minute flight back to Perth if i don't make it bad luck , my kids have been told my excess money has already in my daughter's name ,so all the government can do is take my pension lol
