I think by EXIT stamp you mean RE-ENTRY PERMIT, which is something totally different. You can get these either at an immigration office or at the airport. 1000 Baht for single, 3800 Baht for multi.

Never known a Thai bank to charge a fee for having the account

@Sam ****
I didn't. I just took the form to my regular GP who has all my medical history and he signed it off.

It seems now even agents are pulling out from offering bank accounts for huge bribes

That may well be so, the point I make is there is nothing in Thai law which stipulates a time limit, only "temporary visitor"

The conventions don't specify a time limit. They leave that up to the individual countries to apply their own maximum. Whilst most countries do state 90 days, for some reason Thailand doesn't, which effectively means any "temporary visitor" is ok. I think many will say 90 days as that used to be the maximum for any tourist, but now with the DTV that will have changed

@Jason ******
Must have changed since I did it a few years ago. I just had to get this medical certificate completed

There's no 90-day limit stated in Thai law. The law refers to temporary visitor. Insurance companies might impose their own limits for cover

Why do you need a chest x-ray? Is this a new requirement?
