Ive felt that way for around 6 months to a year now, I'm not sure why but I've just feel like a refusal isn't too far off. I've known for a while I should get the correct visa but frequently either talked myself out of it or let conversations in various groups talk me out of it. Guess I should look into what visa I need and what I need to do to get it.

I fly in for a month and then spend four to six weeks out of Thailand at work. When I enter I use the visa exemption but the last two times I have been asked for proof of accommodation and my onward flight from Thailand. Once I've shown these there hasn't been any problems but I think its time to just get the correct visa and then not have to worry on the way in.

you definitely don't understand the meaning of the term 'woke' and it's correct use. I'll give you a hint, this isn't it!

Worst case scenario is it affects your standing with immigration and future visa applications, the more likely is a fine of up to 2000 baht. However, if you're not looking to have anything to do with immigration other than entering or leaving then most likely nothing will ever be said.

Im pretty sure that has to be applied for in advance.

I was offshore until August of this year when I moved to rotation onshore in Libya to get more time in Thailand with my son. I feel like, and I am, abusing the visa exemption and tourist visa system but it's due to a lack of suitable alternatives. A problem with this is I'm asked about a visa in Libya everytime i leave and last time the guy didn't really believe me but didnt care enough to do any thing about it, i only need one who does care and im knackered. I discussed marriage, although very briefly, with my long term girlfriend but she doesn't really want to pay her rather large family the money they would be expecting so that removes that as an option for me. I'm hoping the multi entry non o becomes available online again soon and then I'll just jump through the required hoops for that.

Was it a tourist visa or a visa exemption? A flight via another, closer country that you wouldn't mind spending some time in may not be a bad idea but if you apply for and have the correct visa for the reason for your visit everything should be fine.
