Driving licences are valid throughout Thailand and not limited to a province. I think that bit of information was lost in translation or made up on the spot.
Spot on. People know the rules and if they dont they should have found them out before the last day. Sure sime people gave events/ accidents etc they couldn't have forseen but so many just leave it too late
I had to Pete as Immigration wouldnt give me a resident certificate or a re-entry permit as my entry stamp in my passport was more recent then the TM30. I've been in my condo for 4 years now but luckily the reception staff file the TM30 each time and give me a printout. This is Chiang Mai Immigration others may be different.
