LOL, apparently you guys have never heard of “civil asset forfeiture”. Never travel with more cash anywhere in the US then you are willing to lose. Airport included. Any local or federal police can take it from you at any time with very little recourse. They basically allege you are drug dealer or makeup anything they want and poof the money is theirs.
I have heard conflicting opinions on whether you can transition to other visa types if you enter on exempt. Anybody have first hand experience with this? It scared me enough that I went ahead and got a tourist visa as I plan to transition to education visa.
Siam legal. But if you’re just working remote or online it probably isn’t necessary and the yearly costs will run in the 4-5 figures US to maintain the structure
Make sure to have not just the invitation letter from the hotel, but the booking receipt as well. That’s the one thing that tripped us up. Nobody checks the app at all.
I have heard mixed answers on this one. I ended up getting a tourist visa just in case. Took only a week with Chicago consulate including mailing time. With visa runs not being An option you don’t want to take the chance
you are correct but to be fair it’s not “too far” it’s just that the FAA just banned Thailand from new direct flights, and the routes they used to have were not very profitable.
