@Stelar ******
if you are applying for a spouse visa outside Thailand, you don't need her there.. you need a signed copy of her Thai ID card and a letter of invitation from her signed by her. Her passport is irrelevant for a visa for you unless for some insane reason she doesn't have a Tha ID card which she can't get a passport without anyway..

It's normally and/or on that.. why the f## would someone not leaving/entering the country require showing a passport for someone else to enter?

I've been from 2 days late to 96 days late. Apart from a 2000b fine it has no effect on any visa situation such as re entry, extension ,etc as long as you pay any fine outstanding. Maxed at 2000b regardless of how late it is.

. Immigration know that if your job interview is successful,and you get the job, you are required by imm law to leave the country to apply for a B visa through your employer and reenter on it to start working(+work permit) An interview is NOT work.

@Aaron ******
. Well until they invent an " apply for a job visa" what other options to enter does he have ?? Being honest with immigration is a good start... you have a better option?

Bring evidence of a job interview with you on arrival , so you can show them if they question you. If your prospective employer refuses to supply you with something stating it in writing, then you have to maybe reconsider. Just my opinion.

. No.kidding Sherlock! I was referring to the 24 hour report limit allowing for it...

@Jozef ********
. Yes and no. If you arrive on a Friday evening or Saturday , etc , they will take into account due to immigration closed country wide. Just do it within 24 "business" hours.

. If the company that offered you the job is pushing you to get a tourist visa, be wary. Do not start working for them until you have the B visa and a work permit.

Many shady employers here make promises they don't keep.regarding visas that allow you to work here. If there is any breach of work laws, YOU are penalised severely, including deportation. They walk away scot free.
