I don't understand the reason why they send a tourist out of the border, and then return shortly after, just to have a stamp (free of charge by the way) in the passport... they could have given it to me at the immigration office...!
Currently on the last (extra-13-15th month) 90 days entry until 8 Feb 2025 of a one-year Multiple Entry Non-Imm 'O' visa obtained from Savannakhet .
Had to apply for a new passport as existing passport with above stamp expires in June 2025 (less than 6 months validity to use it for an entry after 8 Feb 2025 and not enough pages left). Received new passport today.
Do I need to go to my local Immigration office to transfer the entry stamp to 8 Feb 2025 to my new passport, or can I just exit Thailand with both old and new passports on or around 8 Feb 2025? Also, I would hope to be returning a few days later. Will I again need both passports, or just the new one?
I am usa citizen on visa exempt. I left , for Vietnam 9/25 and plan to return 10/1 for another 60 day visa exempt. My landlord filed TM 30 good until 2/25. When I return do I need to go to immigration to update the TM30?
So we're in Bangkok, which is great and the new life begins tomorrow!
I was granted an LTR evisa and when I presented this at immigration, it was clear the lady did not know what to do and called her supervisor.
He checked it all, spoke to her and left.
She correctly wrote LTR in my passport on the stamp but when I asked her about multi entries, she suggested I needed to show the evisa document every time.
Hopefully someone on here can clarify. When I leave in Oct for a short trip back to the UK, what should I expect in my passport and what do I need to do on re-entry please?
Here is the scenario: I bought a condo in Jomtien and moved into it on October 20, 2023. I had an agency do my TM 30 and it is stapled to the back of my visa. I have a valid business visa (not sure that makes a difference). I went for a holiday to Vietnam December 29 to January 4, 2024. I forgot to do a TM 30 on my return. Last week, I registered to do an online 90 day report and it was rejected and said I needed to report to the nearest immigration office. Someone told me that if I am doing a 90 day report online for the first time it will reject because you must first do an in person or mail in report first. I thought if I went to Koh Samet (which I wanted to do anyways) for a few days and asked them for a copy of the TM 30 and then on my return do a TM 30 that I am back would solve the neglected TM 30 and then go in person to the immigration for my 90 day report would solve my issue. Any comments?
Maybe I didn't explain properly. I would go to Ko Samet, the hotel would so their TM 30 and then on my return I would do another TM 30 online for my condo here in Jomtien thus requiring me to do my 90 day check-in with immigration in Jomtien. Does this now make sense?
With the new rule change at Jomtien and Siracha about TM30 reporting you must report every time you enter Thailand,I was fortunate and didn’t get fined but told next trip please come within the first three days back there is no more not reporting because you return to the same address it was a bit of a mess today lots of people
I have a NON-O Retirement Visa. Valid till March 2023. I did the last 90-day report in April 2022 (including TM30) in person in Bangkok. I left Thailand in May 2022 and came back at 7. October 2022. I tried the 90-Day online report but… rejected. Do I have to do it in person again after I left the country or another idea why I get rejected? Maybe too early?
Searching tm30 posts for an answer while also trying to do my tm30 online. But it looks like it will take awhile to get the online sorted out. My question is: I went away this weekend to Krabi. Just a 48 hour trip, the hotel did a tm30...so I need to go to immigration tomorrow for a tm30 report to report I'm back in my long term rental or I'm in violation?
