the copies are not the for local amphur, they have confirmed that they don't require them. My concern is with the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok in order to issue the document that states that I'm not married.

it makes a bigger difference if I don't have them, fly to Bangkok from Khon Kaen, spend the night in a hotel and then can't get what I need because they want to see the divorce decree.

I'm resigned to the fact that I'm going to have to order 2 copies from Texas and have them sent here.

yes, I'll try that. I got this information from the U.S. Embassy website, it doesn't indicate that "they" need a copy of the divorce decree. The website does mention that the local Amphur might need it but we've already checked with them and they don't.

3. On the date of your ACS appointment ensure you bring the following:

Appointment Confirmation Page

Passport

Appropriate fee and method of payment: $50 for the affidavit and $50 for the Certified Copy (if required)

Completed affidavit (All information must be filled completely and correctly and NOT left blank. The information is REQUIRED by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

A clear copy of the first page (bio-data page) of your passport if a certified copy is required by your Amphur

I'm not worried about making a false declaration. I'm definitely divorced I just don't have copies of any paperwork.

I would have if I knew where it was. 😀

I think that it was thrown out as part of my mass cleansing when I left the U.S.
