$800k Baht question: Do I have to have the 800,000baht in the bank two months before the extension date on a non-o retirement visa? What happens if I only have it there for one month?!

Let's say my 12 month extension falls on May 15th. And I top up my bank account to 800,000Bhat on May 1st?

Hi there!

I would like to know from people own experiences, how long takes approximately in Cambodia to get the DTV, and how many months the 500 K needs to be in bank before apply? Thanks

Once the DTV visa is obtained, anybody has experience if the documents (e.g. bank balance etc) are checked again upon re entry or upon extension within Thailand ? Thank you

Hi everyone,

I’m a USA citizen and want to do the DTV Muay Thai visa . I would like to do it in South East Asia. Someone told me that in Laos they require the 500,000 thb to be in the account for a minimum of 6 months. Does anyone have the experience of any consulate in south East Asia that doesn’t require it to be in there for 6 months. I was told that in Australia it wasn’t required.

Thank you in advance.

With the new DTV visa, do you need the 500,000 Baht in your bank in a lump sum? I read somewhere they may accept proof of historic monthly income instead but don't think it was a reliable source?

A couple of questions for the Mods…we are looking to move to Thailand when I retire in a couple of years. My wife is Thai with dual Thai/NZ citizenship. I will meet the $65k monthly pension requirement, do I still need to keep $400k minimum in my Thai bank account if I go the retirement way (the first year will be minimum $800k as I won’t have a year’s bank statements). If I choose the marriage option do I have to keep a minimum $400k bank balance throughout the year?

Very confused about the e Visa

I am here in California USA

I went to the Los Angeles consulate website and looked up requirements for the non O-A e Visa

And it clearly states you need to have 100 thousand baht per month income and or 1.2 mil in the bank to qualify 🙃

Then I go on to a "official" E Visa website

And it states the old rolls of 65,000 in income and or 800,000 in the bank

Before I spend $2,000 for a year of health insurance how can I make sure I will qualify?

For getting an extension to a Non-O visa does the 800k need to be in the bank for 2 calender months or 60 days?.

I went back above the 800k limit on 21st April so think I can't get my extension tomorrow as planned but will have to wait until Monday. I imagine there is no leeway even flying back for mothers funeral....

Anyone have other experiences....?

Hi

I have my extension of stay ( marriage ) until 22 March 2021..

My question is do I have to keep my bank account balance above 400,000 baht the whole time or can I lower the balance below 400,000 baht and top it up above 400,000 baht again 2 months before 22 March 2021?

Thanks in advance for your help😀

Are immigration monitoring the 800k in your bank accounts after your retirement extension was issued?

I remember last year it was a new requirement to leave money in the bank and wondered if t is being implemented.
