The balanced of my 800K in bank which keep for non o visa was under a few bahts (forgot the monthly fee $15b) for 10 days this month. I top up immediately. It is my fault. Anyone got similar experience ? Would it let the extension more difficult ?
Thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their bank balance falling below 800,000 baht, which is required for the NON-O visa, due to a monthly fee. Although they topped up immediately, they wonder if this mistake will complicate their visa extension process. Comments include personal experiences, the importance of timing when the balance fell below the threshold, and advice on what steps to take next.

A valuable lesson for everyone who has banked the 800,000.

One year I went under by 50฿ for about 1.5 minutes (the time taken to rectify the problem) and they failed me. They wouldn't give me a new NON-O there so had to do a visa run to Penang.
Cost me a heap and have never made the same mistake again.

I did that several years ago by mistake to the tune of a few thousand
Luckily they forgave me!
I guess it depends on the officer at the time

Maybe leave a bigger cushion than 15 baht

The rule is clear, IF you're using banked money method
you need to have 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the extension
you need to keep the 800K baht in the account for 3 months after the extension is granted
after that the balance can't go below 400K baht during the rest of the year
So what that means is you have 5 months where a balance LESS than 800K baht (even by a single baht for a single day) is BAD 😮 and means you didn't follow the terms of the extension you're on.
Meaning you wouldn't even be able to apply for a new extension. 🙁
when is your next extension due?
I mean is it during the "safe time" when the balance can go under 800K or not?
