Good day everyone. I hope someone here can help me. I moved to Thailand with my 2 kids. I work for a company here so I have my non b visa and work permit now and the agency is processing my 1 year visa. However the agent asking me 24000 thb per kid for Non-o transfer + visa extension for 1 year, so for 2 kids 48000 thb. It's a big amount and besed on my research in Google it should be much lesser. Any advice or help is very appreciated. Thank you
I have a Work extension, and my non-Thai wife and son piggyback on this. It expires on 30 November 2024. I am just preparing the paperwork for our annual Immigration visit, and noticed that my 9-year-old son's UK passport expires on 27 October 2025. I don't have time to renew his passport before we go to Immigration.
My understanding is that he will only be given an Extension until 27 October 2025 (his passport expiry date). I will get his new passport in January and get the Extension date transferred.
My question is what will happen next year when we need to extend again in November? Will Immigration overlook a 34-day overstay for my son (28/10/2025-30/11/2025) as children can't be fined, and give him an Extension that matches ours?
Or, when we go to Immigration next month, should we all apply for Extensions up to 27 October 2025 instead of 30 November, to keep everything in sync?
I have searched the search box function and dint quite get the answer I was looking for.
Is there a reputable cooking class in Hua Hin I could take to also help with the DTV?
Also from what I read , I apply for DTV first and once I get approved then I apply for my 7 year old son?Is that correct? Would he also need a class? Would they ask for bank info for him? He will not be going to an international school but a worldschooling/ alternative school.
I need advise from our situation. Parents on ED visa and toddlers(5yo&3yo) already overstayed for 6 months since we never fly out of thailand. Kids already used their extensions & visa run last year.
We will be exiting to Laos for 2nd ed visa purposes. We are planning to bring our children so we can settle their overstay too. My questions are:
1. Will the IO allow my kids to exit via land this year? They already did their visa run twice last year. And according to my research, you can only travel via land twice every calendar year.
2. We will be staying for 3days in Laos. Will the IO allow my kids to re-enter thailand again w/out any repercussions?
3. Option 2, we fly out of thailand while our ed visa is valid and come back after 3days, i just want to settle my toddlers overstay. Will IO allow us to re-enter TH?
I hope you can help, i’ve been asking around and i can’t get any decent answers. Thanks 🙏
So I have a friend who is retired (Grandpa). He has a retirement visa and a Thai wife and a couple of properties here in Thailand. He lives in Pattaya and a US citizen.
His kid (Dad) has a kid (grandson, 10 years old) who would like to visit for 6-12 months.
Dad is not eligible for a long term visa and may do a METV for 9 months or whatever.
Can grandson be a dependent of Grandpa? And therefore get a long term visa through grandpa's retirement visa?
Hello I'm on a non b visa and have x 2 children. My company only cover 1 child so I need to do the other one myself. Should i wait until my company has done our visa first?
# Visa question regarding children under the age of 15 - for experienced users only
We are a family with 3 children under the age of 15 who are all currently on a tourist visa.
Considering getting a student/business/investor visa for parents.
Regarding the children, we were told that there is no need for a visa under the age of 15.
We have seen many opinions on the subject of the need for a valid visa for children under the age of 15. But nothing unequivocal.
Does anyone have practical experience in entering and leaving Thailand with children when the parents have a valid visa but the children under the age of 15 actually do not have a valid visa?
Kids age 4 and 7 came to Thailand on 20/5 on Brazilian passports visa exempt until 17/8. Now looking to switch into student visa inside Thailand. I understand that parents don't need to have 500k in Thai bank account as it's not considered an extension of a student visa? What is the financial requirement if any? And is it going to be met by providing a foreign banking account statement in foreign currency?
