Do you think Thai immigration will be bothered if a family turns up with the parents holding DTV approved stamps but the kids not on the DTV with them (meaning the kids will get visa on arrival)?
When I go for a 30 day extension for myself and family, does my entire family need to be there? I understand it can be an all day process which would be difficult for my kids. Could I go with their passports and get all of our extensions without them there.
I have a USA passport and got a 45-day visa exempt entry which expires Dec 17. I have my wife and 5 children here with me. We are going to pay the 1,900 baht fee to get the 30-day extension this week. I assume the 1,900 baht fee is per person - but it seems that I don't need to pay to extend my 5 children if children can't be fined for overstay, is that correct? We are going to fly to Laos for a border bounce in January, so I want to make sure there won't be any problems if they have overstayed.
Separately, I'm in Nimman area of Chiang Mai and I remember there being some advice about a particular immigration office in Chiang Mai that is not very busy. Any suggestions on which one to go to?
My daughter is 5 years old and study in International school. Last time when I went to immigration office in Chiang Mai. The staff said no need to do any visa under 15 years old.
Today, my friend go to immigration office that staff said need to apply education visa. And must apply before 21 days.
Hi... I'm now studying in Thailand, I plan to take my wife and son coming here along with me. Do I need to propose a visa O for my son since his age is now under 2 years? Anyone has experiences? Thank you
Hi, we are a family with a 4 and 5 year old. I have heard of many instances where young children are issued education Visas and their parents a guardian visa each. One per child. But when I look on the Thai govt website it seems to talk about children being minimum aged 12. Does anyone know if it's possible to get visas for us all with the children being so young? We are in Chiang Mai.
