My one year extension of stay expires at the end of April. I need to get back to US for Taxes and SS application. Is it possible to extend earlier than 30 days stated. I have read some places are 45 days which would be great. I live in Samut Prakan. Is Samut Prakan Immigration office one that will allow the extension 45 days prior to expiration.
Hello all. I live in Bangna, Bangkok. I'm British here on NonO visa which expires on 18th March. I'm planning to apply for my Retirement Visa by myself. I have the funds in the account but just for a month now. I have TM30.
I have successfully extended my DTV stay for another six months at the Samut Prakan Immigration Office today. The staff there were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the process. Since I couldn’t find clear documentation requirements online, I sought advice directly from the receptionists (who, I must say, were very beautiful, kind and welcoming). Interestingly, they mentioned I was the first person to visit their office specifically for a DTV stay extension.
As a remote worker, my work contract was an *essential* document for the application. Additionally, I needed to submit financial proof, including:
* An updated bank book (passbook) on the same day of the visa extension
* A balance certification signed by the bank
* A bank statement showing the same balance as the certification
Accommodation documents were also required, such as:
* A copy of my rental agreement
* A TM30 form
Initially, I had prepared a bank statement generated two days prior to my visit. However, this didn’t meet the requirements because the passbook needed to be updated on the same day as the visa extension. One thing to note is that although I had updated my passbook the night before my visit, the officer required it to be updated again on the day of the extension, even if no new transactions had occurred. The receptionist kindly explained this detail during my initial inquiry, but I decided to give it a try with what I had. As a result, I had to make an extra trip to the bank’s ATM to update my passbook. Thankfully, everything else was in order. This requirement could be different if you are using a foreign bank as financial proof. In such cases, they might adjust the requirements slightly, or you may have no choice but to fly out and come back or do a border bounce.
I’m sharing this experience and the document requirements for anyone considering a DTV stay extension. Being well-prepared can save time and effort, and the staff at the immigration office are there to help. Overall, it was a smooth process once all the documentation was in place.
I am a Canadian citizen who received 60 days when I arrive at the airport. I would like to apply Non O for retirement and I live in Samut prakan. May I know where do I apply Non O. Do I have to apply at Cheng Wattana Office or Samut Prakan Immigration for Non O? Thank you.
In case it helps anyone. Samut Prakan immigration (which is now located in the newly rennovated Pak Nam office) accepts the following documents for 60 day extension based on marriage/family.
Copies of the following all signed and notorised:
- marriage certificate (in case of wife)
- birth certificate (in case of dependant/child)
- tambien baan of wife/dependant
- ID card of wife/dependant
- all passport pages with ID and stamps
-TM 30 Receipt of notification copy (make sure it's date-stamped from when you last entered the country, they flagged this with me and I got a telling off for not reporting 24 hours within entering the country)
-1900 baht
-wife/child in person as they want to take pictures of you as a couple/family
-passport photo for one of the three forms you have to fill out
Not needed contrary to other reports/offices:
* Kor ror 22, you don't need any copy of this, whether it is old or newly updated.
Hi, this might help anyone going to the Samut Prakan immigration office for a one-year extension based on retirement (probably an extension based on marriage too)
Without using an agent, which I never do, I got the one year retirement extension plus multiple re-entry permit in about 80 minutes yesterday. The process was very smooth and would've been even quicker had I not had to validate a screenshot of the TM30 on the second floor. The TM30 screenshot (from the online website) is important to the Samut Prakan office and you also need it for the re-entry permit, so make TWO copies. When you order your bank letter, get the bank to give you a 12-month printout of all your transactions (that was 20 pages for me) The Samut Prakan office really like those printouts and I got a thumbs up from the officer yesterday. The office wasn't that busy on a Thursday morning either.
Has anybody been to the immigration office in Samut Prakan within the last week or two? It has evidently moved from Bang Pli to Pak Nam but there is some conflicting information. Thanks so much!
Does the first 90 day report on a non b visa based on employment at a school need be done in person or can it be done online. I live in Samut Prakan, so use that office.
