TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a UK visitor visa for your Thai partner, she must submit the application herself, typically online, and then attend an appointment at VFS Global in Bangkok for biometrics. Include a strong invitation letter detailing your relationship, your residency in the UK, and a commitment to support her financially during her stay. It's crucial to provide evidence that she has strong ties to Thailand, like employment, family, or property, to assure immigration officials that she will return after her holiday. Consulting official resources and potentially visa advice groups may help streamline the process.
Done it quite a few times and it can seem daunting but fear not Do it step by step and you should be OK
The letter should have details of
Your relationship (how long)
Your residence in UK Send utility bills as proof
Your willingness to fully support your partner whilst in UK
Be polite Not over technical and hang on in there mate
It can take time

My ex Thai gf told me she wants me to bring her back to LA for a whole month so she can enjoy the socal life. I straight off told her I can do 2 wks max because she would bankrupt me. We broke up the next week because I choose not to be broke. So guys, don't bring your gf back to your home country. It is a lose-lose situation.

In my experience she must have strong ties to return back. This can be a letter from an employer she's worked with for some time, a house, children, business that makes a large profit or something strong that has to return to. I tried a few times without success and the relationship broke down. I'm glad in a way as it showed her true colours. In addition English at the interview would really help

I did this last year. Did through an agent. Lots of relationship evidence. Fortunately we applied when i was in phuket for few monthes. Were successful! π

My Thai wife has been to the UK several times.
I can some it up in 3 words.
Waste
Of
Money
1. Don't get over the jet lag and time difference.
2. Too cold.
3. Cant get real Thai food. Done a 50 mile radius of Thai restaurants and non of them were real Thai. They're all calmed down to suit the British pallet. One of the times she took a suitcase full of Mama soup. π€¦
4. No bum gun for the toilet. Be very prepared for this as it could possibly ruin your relationship.
5. Miss home.
6. You'll need to buy clothes for her that will be worn for the time she's there, then never worn again.
Only #2 and #5 are correct on your list. There's NO jet lag between Thailand and the UK! Plenty of authentic Thai food, especially in London. You can easily install a 'bum gun' if needed. The clothes will go to good use in Thailand (it does actually get cold there)
Oh yeah, il just tell my Mother and the hotels we stayed at "Im fitting a bum gun in your bathroom, is it Ok?" π€¦
Did you know its illegal to fit bum guns in the UK or Scotland?

You get the best answers if you ask in a group dedicated to UK visa.
This group specialises in Thai visa.

Neil Mark Brown:- In the early 2000's when Linda Taylor was in charge of Visas at the British Embassy in Bangkok, it was proven that sfe was definitely Racist and Sexist! She was eventually discreetly "moved aside!" after hundreds of legitimate complaints!

Make sure you have a solid reason why she must return to Thailand at the end of her visit. Good luck

You can make the application yourself on her behalf. Done it twice. She will need to go to VFS for biometrics. Found the whole process very straightforward. Ignore all the "must own house", " must have degree" etc. Every application is judged on its own merits. Give me a shout if you want to chat ππ»
Niel,I've done it twice now for my partner..no issues really provided she can show she is returning, has work, money in her Bank account, previous good character and you provide a covering letter of invitation showing your solvent and will cover her for any unforeseen money issues whilst in UK.. the online application is easy to follow...DM me if any problems
no problems Niel, you and gf can work through the application together even if you are in UK and she is in Thailand as long as you have her password you can view her application as she goes... can save it and go back to it later.
She MUST use the online application form ,submit the application and pay for the visa. Then she applies for an appointment at VFS Global in Bangkok , pay again for processing and for biometrics, any copies or translations of documents are also charged for if not already done.
It would appear that the British Consulate is Racist and Sexist, and anti Buddhist! Phillipinas dont seem to have any problem coming here! I think it is because they are Catholic, and the Catholic Church backs them! And why not? They are lovely people, and make excellent nurses and care home workers!
Philippines have easy access for visas to visit the uk π¬π§ itβs been this way since the war .

Gov.uk provide all the information. Your main objective should be that she has a strong reason to return (job, family and property) and provide evidence.

If you live in the uk π¬π§ it isnβt easy ,,, if you live here in Thailand it is much easier, your only visiting the uk as tourists not residents.
