My passport is running out of empty pages and I've ordered a new one. What's the process for updating to the new passport on the dtv? I saw a post you can transfer the visa over but it's a digital not physical visa sticker.
So I’m British and I came to Thailand on a 60 day visa free entry about 20 days ago.
I heard it’s okay but I want to double check if I can change it to a Non immigrant ED visa.
I also want to double check if I’m allowed to change my visa type whilst I’m in the country?
(From what I’ve seen, yes)
I start my internship on Monday and the only reason why I didn’t apply earlier is because one particular document was taking FOREVER to arrive.
I really wanted to come to Thailand a bit earlier than my internship to make sure that I can get things in order as it’s my first time coming here and I have little idea of how things work around here 💔
( apologies in advance if the answers to my questions are obvious. I don't see a consolidated answer on here , so was hoping for a response from someone with firsit hand experience )
I live in Thailand but work all over Asia so quite hard to tie down exact dates, but of course will make it work.
I read that people are are applying online for the HCMC and waiting 2 weeks for an appointment.
1. Is the 2 weeks a minimum ? Set in stone ?
2. Can you select a range of dates for your appointment?
3. Can I only apply once inside Vietnamto lock in the appointment. I'm aware that proof of arrival are required. I'm just not sure that is needed at the start.
I will be providing the following. My Thai address will be our family villa in wife's name.

If I arrive in Thailand on DTV & stay 60 days then come back a week later and stay another 60 days do I have to do a 90 day report ? Or is it for 90 days continuously ?
How is the DTV process going to change once it switches to e-visa? It sounds like it would be easier but with a closer look it seems like you have to apply from your home country. Anyone have any information about the e-visa? For example, I called Jakarta embassy and they said they will not accept in person appointments starting in October.
As a remote employee of a Canadian sales company, I am interested in relocating to Thailand while maintaining my current job. Would this qualify me for the DTV visa?
