I’m sharing this post because I gained useful insights from this page. I applied for DTV - soft power skills related to Muay Thai in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam.
Application Date: Thursday, January 9th
Approval Date: Thursday, January 16th
Gym Membership: 1 - month program
The day after my initial submission, I was asked to provide additional documents related to the Muay Thai gym, including their business registration and company profile. The request for these documents was back and forth, with a total of four requests to upload supporting documents. Without the assistance of the gym owner, who speaks excellent English as he is American, this process would have been extremely challenging.
Training at the gym is good, the gym is nice and clean and the coaches know how to teach and have fun at it.
If you’re looking for a gym in Bangkok that understands the documentation process and is very supportive, I highly recommend Tiger Eye Muay Thai (Tiger Eye MMA).
Is it easy to rent a condo with DTV Visa for a few months?
For example periods of 2-3 months since I plan to stay 6 months max to avoid being a tax resident and I am thinking of splitting those 6 months during different periods of the year.
Are the prices almost as good as long term rental?
My wife, two small children and I moved to Thailand two weeks ago. I want to apply for the DTV visa. I meet all the requirements. I read that every family member needs to apply but do I need to travel to Laos/Cambodia with my entire family or is it possible to go alone and provide their passports along with all the necessary documents?
I'm planning for a retirement visa when I reach 50 in a few years time. And I'm planning to find a place that I can stay without headache when come to the 90 days reporting and tone for renewal.
1) need to have ฿800k in bank
2) TM30 address to be submitted for the application
3) application before arriving in Thailand or apply when reach Thailand.
4) place to stay and easy to report for 90 days and or apply for renewal is ( any recommendations beside this few place)
1) Pattaya
2) Hua Hin
3) Bangkok?
4) hatyai
5) nongkhal
6) udon thain
To my understanding that if my landlord can summit the TM30 it can be any type of place to stay right
I'm from Singapore been in and out of Thailand under 30 days tourist stamp and use hatyai to exit and reentry for other 30 days tourist stamp. I'm a bit tired moving in and out every 30 days
Hello group. I'm getting ready to move out of my rental house after 2 years and I would like some advice on dealing with my landlord with regards to getting my deposit back. Specifically, there is a sofa with cheap plastic lining that started falling apart after only 6 months of normal use. My worst fear is that she's going to blame me for the damage and keep the 30k baht deposit claiming that she needs it for a brand new sofa. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. 😀
It seems that Immigration is now rejecting online 90 Day reports when your last TM30 registration was not in the place where you are living/applying.
My last TM30 at the place where I live dates from January 2020, before Covid. Since then I've only traveled within Thailand and this was never a problem with 90 day notifications, also not for my most recent one 3 months ago.
But today the system gave me a 'rejection' because it found that my most recent TM30 registration was close to two years ago in Bangkok. This is interesting because I stayed in a whole lot more places since then all over Thailand, but I guess none of those did a TM30 report. 😉
So... People may want to think twice about checking into hotels with their passport because that means having to do another TM30. Which for some people is a hassle when they have to ask a landlord to visit the immigration office, etc.
(Of course if you have a login to the online TM30 site or app then it takes just 2 minutes to do another TM30 when you return after a holiday, so it's just a minor hoop to jump through. )
My wife and I are looking to go to Thailand for 3-4 months this winter. I'm wonder if anyone can give advice on long term car rentals or even looking to purchase a cheaper vehicle for this time. We will be staying in Suan Phueng.
If we like living there we'll be looking to make the move the following winter.
For the last two years i had an ED visa(Hand To Hand Combat CM). I wanted to do another year but the school told me that i have to get out of Thailand for minimum 3 months and only then i can apply for another year with an ED visa.
My question is how many months you reckon i need to wait before i can come to Thailand "Safely" ? Is 3 months enough or should i wait more ?
I'm planning to come back with a SETV visa and after that reapply for an ED visa..
