Hi, quick question. I know during the worst of covid they weren't letting people in with education visas. I am currently in country with an education visa from Chiang Mai University (extension of stay) and I plan to leave the country for Christmas. I'll of course get a re-entry permit but as things stand at the moment, am I likely to have any issues getting back in with the extension of stay based on education?
Also, how long are re-entry permits valid for? Is it normally in line with your extension of stay date?
Just so as you are aware, there is NO POSTAL service at ANY of the Thai consulates in the UK. It is strictly an attend only service at UK consulates now.
Some also need an appointment to attend and can have odd closure days. I suggest contacting them in advance before you intend to travel.
One more point, you CANNOT use the London Thai Embassy online only application service to apply online then attempt to collect your visas at any UK consulate. If you apply online, you then have to use London by visiting or posting your documents to them or any Embassy taking part in the online scheme you have chosen to collect your visa from.
At this time, only London, Paris and Beijing plus consulates in China are included.

Hi everybody. Im living in Thailand on. Long term non immigrant O visa but left due to the catastrophic air pollution arround Chiang Mai to Indonesia. My visa expires on 10th April and I might not be able to return within my three month absence due to my health condition. I have been told that the Thai consulate in Savannaketh - Laos is issuin three month visas which would enable me to apply for a non immigrant O visa long term in Thailand again. Can anybody confirm this or tell me where to get a three month entry to Thailand? Im German of origin.
Can someone please let me know what is the maximum stay, an Australian citizen can stay in Thailand before requiring a tourist visa and also what is the approximate cost for a tourist visa and is there much involved obtaining one if done from Australia. Also what is the approximate time frame to obtain a tourist visa. Also if your partner is Thai does that have any bearing at all?
Thank you in advance, just planning December/January trip.
Very friendly consulate! No waiting, young, helpful and friendly staff! All EU passports - 2xED + 1 follower. No bank statement needed, only the documents listed in the application form. Pay in USD for visa, add 1 photo, pick up visa next day 13:30-15:30. Fly direct via ThaiLion ;-)
