What is the best and closest country to fly to that does not require a visa for someone from the United States? How long should I stay until flying back to Thailand?

Hello everyone.

My DTV was approved (Ho Chi Minh). It took a week longer than anticipated and I came back to Thailand early (entered with a tourist visa).

I'm planning a trip to KL next week to get the DTV stamp. I've been there many times, so I was thinking of returning the same day. Would Thai immigration have any problems with it?

I know those border runs were more of an issue when entering back into Thailand with a tourist visa. Would it be fine to do a 3-4 hour trip, but entering with DTV this time?

I've done a few border runs in my time just the walk over ones. As I stand there I see the Thai and Malaysian come and go seemly no checks ??? . I'm off to Kuala Lumpur soon for a few days and you know it is my Thai lady friend says I come I come. So the question is do a Thai need a passport to go to Malaysia ?

My boyfriend is lived with me from September he has 2 month visa he wants to take me to malaysia in October for 5 days before he goes back to england will he be able to get back into Thailand until the end of October

Ok. Visa on arrival 60 days and I need another 60 days . What s the best way??

Immigration only get s you another 30 days.

So maybe better to Laos for 2 nights? But do I need a visa for this visarun??

Or any other country for a few days where I donot need a visa?

My visa exemption extension is going to run out on the 1st September. Am I right in thinking if I fly to Malaysia before then and come back I will receive a new 60 day stamp?

Also, can I just come back the next day from Malaysia? Like a 24 hour trip.

Hello. I am 68 years old. Last years I had Visa for 90 days, I went from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur for 1 night and come back in Phuket ( stamp at immigration for 30 days more).

Next holiday , on december 2024, I plan to stay in Phuket for 117 days, with flight round trip for Italy ( my country ).

Can I have first 60 days extempion Visa arriving in Phuket , than go to Kuala Lumpur for 1 or 2 nights after 59 days, come back to Phuket , and have more 60 days extemption Visa ? Thanks for help.

I am currently in Thailand with a 15-day visa on arrival. I would like to know if it is possible to depart Thailand and visit another country, such as Malaysia , and then flight back to Thailand and obtain another 15-day visa on arrival from the airport.

I have a 60 Day METV entered the country May 27th- Visa expires in November- July 27th , I understand that I am suppose to get a 30 day extension. However, I want to leave on July 25th to go visit KL for about 3 days...Do I still get an extension here in Phuket before I leave or when I fly back into Phuket will immigration re-stamp me with another 60 days.. Sorry if this sounds confusing.... I'm confused 😁

This might be a silly question but I’ve done my 2 land border entries, but can I enter Malaysia via land & reenter Thailand via air? Does that count as an air entry or does it have to be both ways?
