Question: When opening a bank account in Thailand, what is easiest method to deposit funds initially....Is it a US bank to Thai bank transfer ? or bring cash ? or... ..? What is the simplest and fastest method that people have used ? Thanks !
I am receiving 1,500,000 baht in cash from a family member in Thailand. I have an account with Bangkok Bank and I am wondering if I will have to pay tax for this cash deposit? Or will there be any trouble depositing this large amount of cash?
I deposited 400,000 THB in my Thai bank account as security deposit for marriage visa. However, this deposit was in cash THB upon opening the bank account.
I am now seeing the following requirement on another website:
"Bank letter stating that the money had been deposited to the account from an overseas source for not less than 2 months."
Is this true? The visa application will be rejected in this case, as I deposited in cash?
Hello again. What are the ways (bank transfer, apps, cash deposit...) accepted by Thai immigration of putting 500K baht into your own thai bank account for a marriage visa?
(This question was included in my previous post but not answered, it is 100 percent a VISA related question). Thanks a lot!
Hey guys 🙂 do you know if I can go to a bank and transfer money to a Thai bank account ? 🙂 it would be the green one, for the person receiving the money. Is that possible ? Just give them cash and they transfer it to the bank account.
Maybe a very stupid question, but I have to clarify in other to not get in trouble... Is there ATM available to deposit cash after passing the immigration counter? I may or may not pay a fine and don't want to bring cash to my country.
