What should I do about my Thai visa if I'm renewing my passport and it was issued on my old passport?

Hi I have applied for passport renewal as my current passport is expiring within next six months. The problem is my DTV was issued on my old passport and apparently there's no way to change the passport details online! Can you please guide me how would it work, would there be a issue in immigration as i might travel when i get my new passport from UK!

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your DTV visa is issued on your old passport and you are in the process of renewing it, it's essential to carry both your old and new passports when you travel. Showing both passports along with a printout of your DTV visa will help you at check-in and during immigration in Thailand. You can also ask immigration officials to make a note linking your visa to your new passport, which can help avoid any issues during travel.

Carry the old passport with you and show both, plus the printout of the DTV visa to the airline check in and Thai immigration. They should stamp you in on your new passport. They may also make a note that your visa was issued on your previous passport (noting the passport number) if they don’t then you can get that done at an immigration office. Thereafter, you can travel with your new passport plus a copy of your old passport along with a copy of your DTV.

I paid 500 baht and got the stamp transferred into my new British passport at the immigration just outside Hua Hin for Prachuap Khiri Khan, after speaking with an immigration officer at the smaller office in Bluport Mall.
