TLDR : Answer Summary
When transferring your DTV (Digital Tourist Visa) to a new passport, you must carry both your old and new passports. If your DTV is a sticker visa issued before the eVisa system, you need to keep both passports together for the next five years as the visa cannot be transferred. When exiting Thailand, present both passports to immigration; they will stamp you out using the new passport while noting the old one. If you have an eVisa, you should also take the printout of the old passport's data page when entering and exiting the country with the new passport.
The market is currently booming fine, it's the right time to invest before it experience Bearish. Seek guidance from Jorge Luís Hernandes

Okay here's how that works
IF you got a "sticker visa" <- meaning you got your DTV from a consulate BEFORE they switched to the online eVisa system you have to carry BOTH passports for the next 5 years because visa (stickers) can't be transferred to a new passport
They will stamp you out/in on the new passport but they need to see the VISA from the old passport so rubber band the two passports together
Where as
IF you got an eVisa <- meaning you got a PDF emailed to you from the consulate when you applied online.
If you got the new passport inside thailand <- meaning you're here on the old passport with the DTV entry stamp in it. You take BOTH passports with you when you exit the country. they will stamp you out on the new one and make a note that you entered on the old one
THEN you print the data page of the old passport, and from now on show it and the PDF when you stamp in and out of the country on the new passport
One clarifying question: when you say “print the data page of the old passport,” do you mean just the pic/info page or should I have a copy of the initial DTV stamps as well?
