I was in Tha Bo in November on a 90- day non- o evisa and it was still a pain. The banks all wanted a certificate of residency, which Nong Khai immigration wouldn't do for me for a bank account. They did do a CoR for driver's license, but the banks wouldn't accept a copy of it. Finally was able to open an account with Krungthai in Si Chaing Mai. Every bank in Tha Bo, Nong Khai and 3 banks in Udon Thani wouldn't accept the Evisa as a long term visa as they had not been presented with one before.
went through the same in Nong Khai with 90 day non-o Evisa. They had never seen the visa before, so they had a tough time accepting it. Turned down everywhere until a nice lady at Krungthai bank helped me out. Biggest drawback with Krungthai is you can only move 49,999 baht per transfer.
555 I already figured that would be the case, one can hope though. If they went back to the old prices, I would do the 20 year in a heartbeat. Not much difference between 800k held hostage or 20 years no red tape.
He was in a cat cafe that pays for a/c. Open door, cats run out not to mention the a/c is on. He wasn't ranting about some friend leaving his house. He was showing respect to the business. How was that hard to understand?
Why is it that he had a bad morning when someone else is the one that showed a lack of consideration for his surroundings? I didn't read that he got confrontational about it, only that it was irritating this person's lack of manners.
