yes you could be right, it might be available to foreigners but no visa on arrival. Thanks for that

well first of all. What ferry are you talking about? the only ferry that I know of that crosses the Mekong (and in turn, the Thai/Lao border) I believe is in Bueng Kan and crosses to Paxsan and Non-Lao and Non Thai cannot cross there. I was in Vientiane last week. All I needed was my vaccine card, I got a visa beforehand, but they were issuing them on arrival when I got there...To return back to Thailand, I had to buy insurance for COVID (it was like 2,000 baht) and I had to sign up for ThaiPass, which was almost instantaneously approved.

No surprises. Thailand’s reputation in this department is well known. Slave labor and sex trafficking occur often in this country..

I have sneaking feeling that opening an electronics business isn’t going to be an easy venture. Get the capital, get some Thai partners, maybe you can do it. But by the way OP phrased it, I have a feeling they don’t really have an understanding of what it actually takes to register a business here in this country..

Good Question. Love to see what others have to say, as I would love to import a dog from outside..I reckon its possible but obviously loads of paperwork and most likely some sort of quarantine for the animal.

Well, maybe you have a retirement visa. Or special elite?

Don’t sell yourself short man, you can find a teaching job if you try. Try for the tourist visa first, then explore the next set of options after that
