Hello everyone, might be a weird question but what is the possibility of getting rejected if you stay not more than 6 months every year with one border run as a USA citizenship entering Thailand?Thank you very much for answers in advance 🙏
I am traveling to Thailand since 23 years, now being 50yrs old with German passport, and always on visa exempt stamp.
Since last year it seems using this way of entering the country is getting more and more tricky as I enter the country 2-3x during a 4 weeks holiday trip entering other SEA countries as well.
I also own a Condo in my name in Pattaya btw.
Now wondering what visa to apply for, probably DTV as I have all the requirements handy, to get not stressed with questions and evidence for my own purpose.
What is your guys recommendation in my case for 2-3 yearly visits to SEA in total not more than 120days but multiple Thailand entries?
I don't want to live there or apply for a standard tourist visa as I can't see a big difference.
As German I have also 2 passports (both German) which is allowed for critical purposes and land borders (Emirates, Israel, Cuba etc.) and I could potentially change my passport each time or so.
What are your recommendations for best and flexible options for myself?
Hi, I am now on a Thai wife non-o visa. My understanding is that now I am eligible to work. Immigration told me to go to labour office to find details for work permit. Labour office gave me a bunch of paper in thai and say your prospective employer must fill. The prospective employer says I need to leave the country and that will arrange a business visa based on which the work permit will be granted. So what’s the truth here? Who need a business visa if married to a thai allows you to work?
We planned to convert from a tourist visa to a Non-O after a March trip to the Philippines, using an agent to open a Thai bank account. With the recent banking restrictions, that’s no longer an option.
Now we’re debating whether to:
1) Wait and see if agents can assist with bank accounts again soon, and stick with the non-O plan.
2) Apply for the DTV (soft power) visa while in the Philippines.
I also looked into applying for a Non-O in PH, but it still seems to require Thai bank funds. The OA isn’t ideal since it must be done from the US and requires insurance.
