I applied through Ho Chi Minh City and got asked for full duration accommodation booking. Ridiculous, the whole point of being a digital nomad is the ability to move around. Best of luck.

Even if no tax is due, to comply with the 180 day rule in any calendar year, you need to file a zero remittance tax return. An accountant can do that for you cheaply. To the best of my knowledge, this March will be the first deadline for those who have stayed in the Land of Smiles for more than 180-days. Making a 2024 return mandatory. An accountant can advise about double taxation treaties and any exemptions, along with ongoing tax strategies for those living in Thailand long-term

I brought cash for my initial bank deposit the day that I opened my Bangkok Bank account, but since then I use Wise as the rates are very competitive. Now I can draw money from ATM free of charge. No more 220 baht a time fee

If you do the course online, why do you need a visa to be in Thailand, you could do it just as easily at home.

If you decide to go ahead, be clear in your cover letter that you have only worked in this manner for two months and send documented evidence. Best of luck.

Why not enjoy a month in Vietnam while you get DTV? Why rush a visa that lasts 5 years? I did my application in HCMC and visited 30 different pho restauarant in the month that I spent there. I actually found Vietnam to be cheaper than Thailand. £10 a night accommodation and main meal of the day under £3. YOLO, take time to savour it.
