Yes, most embassies it is ok.. i just put 5 days of accommodation.. If you apply in Malaysia need 6 months of booked accommodation.

I applied through Ho Chi Minh City and got asked for full duration accommodation booking. Ridiculous, the whole point of being a digital nomad is the ability to move around. Best of luck.
