It's a simple report you submit every consecutive 90 days you are in TH. At the 90 day mark you submit the 90 day report.

It sounds like the OP used a Thai bank account to show the embassy that they had the 500K when they applied for their initial DTV. That is "probably" why immigration needs to see "their" updated Thai bank book. So this was specific advice given to someone who showed they had the 500K in a Thai bank, not the same scenario for everyone. Probably... šŸ˜

Received my remote worker DTV 2 hours after uploading my application to the e-Visa site. I used the Vancouver consulate in Canada. That was July 31st. Wife received her spousal DTV based off mine the next day.

I received my DTV from the Canadian consulate in Vancouver. I simply gave them a copy of my most recent bank statement showing >500K THB in CAD. They are able to do the conversion themselves, no need to show in THB.

If you want to do it properly, with no chance of being caught breaking rules, find a way to stay in the application country until you get it: Airbnb, friends/family, motel etc. If you like to live on the edge and don't mind wasting a few hundred $ and some time and maybe having to start over, don't wait. Up to you.

THB. What do you mean "mandatory"? No idea about the agent questions as I don't use them.

Where are you from? There are countries whose citizens do not have to move funds into Thailand for these visas. For example Canadians can get an affidavit of income from their embassy/consulate stating they have the necessary funds back in a Canadian bank and don't need to move 800K over. It used to include UK, US and Oz but they stopped a few years ago due to abuses. Many others still do it though.
