My husband tried to cancel but the manager said that in that case he would have to close the account 😅 so now he officially has life insurance

Can you apply for a DTV visa while in Thailand and when does it expire?

Yes, you have to apply in another country. One of the requirements is that you prove that you are in the country where you applied for the visa. (photo of the visa in the passport) And the visa is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance.

From what I understand, yes. He would enter Thailand with a tourist visa. But to validate the DTV visa, he would need to leave and re-enter with the new visa.
