It's had a reputation for years for being trouble, i.e. not being allowed in, or in the same day, just not worth the risk, go to a friendlier border

What should I consider when transferring funds for my retirement visa extension in Thailand after moving banks?

If the transfer settles the same day it's no issue, i did 400k checked it then another 400k within a couple minutes. The 400k was in case it didn't settle the remaining 400k was within the limit at the time. You'll need passbook or statements for both accounts

Check Lazada, there's an option to pay PEA electricity bill, I've not tried it

What are people's experiences with claiming travel insurance while in Thailand?

I made one small claim and it was paid, and one equalled the excess so no point claiming. Expect the insurer to check the details like were you in homeland 6 months before trip, driving licence, not over alcohol limit etc etc
