he will spend 6-8 months of the year for a couple of years travelling around Thailand to find where he wants to settle down.

Told him about the fees, and at the moment he doesn't care and will open another account in the province he decides to settle in, in 5-6 years. Right now he just wants an account for things like QR pay and not having to pay transaction and conversion fees on his UK cards. Told him about wise but he is adamant about having a Thai account the limited benefits it will give him.

start the company have 2m capital, 4 thai employees and a thai shareholder that holds 51% of the shares and you can get a WP without issue.

Pay the 1900 baht for a 30 day extension at your local immigration.

The likelihood of there being an issue if you don't is slim to non but the ramifications of overstaying could cause you plenty of issues in the future, not just in thailand but other countries too

you are correct, the US bassy doesn't issue the affidavit so you will need the 800k for the first year extension.

You need to be approved for the visa before you can apply for the dependants
