When applying for a marriage visa do my pensions have to be deposited directly into a Thai bank account or can I just transfer the money from my British bank account into my Thai bank account? Many thanks.
I need to apply retirement visa. I would be using the income method (I hope), I have the several months of deposits. I own my own condo, and I am a pretty nice guy.
If I get the bank statement tomorrow evening and showed up at the immigration office the following morning.
Would they give me a new 90 day visa? And within that time I have to apply for the extension?
It happens to be my current stamp expires Wednesday. I can get the extension but maybe that doesn't make sense.
I've just applied for a one year extension to my Non O visa - retirement. Picking up passport tomorrow 👍 this is based on the 800k in thai bank. Next year I will change to the 65k+ pm method which I started making the required international transfers for several months ago. I know that the 800k is supposed to remain in the bank untouched for 3 months. My question is this. Once the visa is issued for this year can I withdraw the 800k as I will be switching to monthly transfers for next years application?
Does the money you send from overseas have to be regular payments or just be more than 800,000 baht for 12 months? Do you just get a letter of authorisation from the bank about deposits? TIA
Extension based on monthly deposits experience, Jomtien.
This is NOT the ฿ 800 or ฿ 400 in the bank method!
Nor is it about those who have a complyent Embassy who will give income letters.
I was issued my extension today with little hassle.
I brought the following to Jomtien Immigration

of at least ฿65 K. Below is a copy of the accepted
statement which will take a week to get.
I did NOT have to show proof of last year's ฿800K. Since 12 monthly deposits have to be shown, it requires you to have some other visa type for you to aquire this 12 deposits.
Many have done this. Some were successful and some were not. My opinion of why the failed ones happened is probably due to either confusing the two types of extensions (income and banked) or not getting the bank statement correct. It must be deposits into Thailand, 12 deposits of at least ฿65K, the bank statement must be from the bank and be in the prescribed format and definitely not money in your home country.
At first it was rejected, the bank put the wrong month on the statement and I had have it redone.
I have a question regarding my annual extension based on marriage to a Thai national. My extension is due in November. By that time I will have been employed in Thailand for 9 months with a salary over 40,000 baht. Is that enough to satisfy the financial requirement or I still need to have 400,000 seasoned for two months?
