Hi all, I will go Vietnam in a few weeks for a DTV, but I am already living in Thailand (long story), the sort one is that I am married with a Thai citizen but to be 100% legal it is more convenient the DTV than the married visa (and for more reasons as well). So, my company is in the US (I am not a US citizen), and the 500K in my personal WISE account, but the address in wise is a Thai address , should be ok?/(I also has a Thai tax number, and i pay here my tax) Or is better to move the fund for example to Revolut where the address is my British home? I am quite confuse with this. Maybe the Wise account with my Thai home address can be an inconvenient more than a benefit ?
Quick question for any UK expat who are receiving state pension in Thailand, is it correct if you ask the UK state pension department to send your pension direct to a Thai bank account, you will lose any uplifts to the UK state pensions in the future.
I see most peoplentalk aboit and recommend 'Wise'. Does anyone have any experience with the german run 'N26'? Just looking for people who know it and find out what they think about it -would you recommend it or not?
I'm sure this question has been asked before: what's the best option to send money from my Thai bank to my US bank? I've tried connecting them bank to bank and it never seems to go through. 🤔is it best to just use something like western union?
I will be in Bangkok today arriving at Central Pinklao bus station and leaving BKK to Narita Japan airport. I would like to get some US currency preferably 100 dollar notes from ATM or BKK super rich or the like using a credit card. Is this possible and any suggestions about where is appreciated. I looked at this site and googled many other sites but did not get concrete information so posting here. Thanks!
My bank has informed me that it will close my account when I move to Thailand (won't allow a current account if I no longer live in the UK, I can have an international account with £100,000 deposit and charge £7 a month to use it!)
I have looked around Google, but now my head hurts! 😳😫🤣
Any advice in keeping a UK account while living in Thailand will be much appreciated 👍
