I recently got my DTV in Jakarta using a medical appointment I made online. I just wanted to thank all the posters who provided the detailed information I needed, which allowed for my application process go very smoothly.
As a way to give back to this community, I'd like to just add an observation if you'd like your application process to go as smoothly as it did for me. Print out the visa application document from the Thai embassy in the country you plan on visiting. Fill it out completely before standing in line at the embassy.
Once I was allowed entry into the embassy, I was given a queue number. While waiting for my turn to go up to the application processing counter I saw several people, one of whom was the first in line, having to provide additional information, which unnecessarily prolonged their time at the embassy standing at the form-filling counter, which quickly got full. It took me no more than about 15 minutes from the time I got my queue number to the time I exited the embassy. Do yourself a favor and have all your forms and supporting documents ready before you head to the embassy and the process will go much more smoothly... 😉 All the best everyone!!
Hello can someone please tell me where can I find a list of requirements to get a DTV through the medical appointment route? I already live in Thailand and have a type O visa based on retirement. If I leave the country will it be possible to switch to DTV? Thanks!
