Hi I live in Koh Tao and got married to a Thai in the UK in 2023. I want to change from my non-o 90 day visa to a one year non-o visa.
Have been told by my visa agent that she doesn't know how to help me... 🙄so hopefully you guys can help me.
What do I need to do? I have read many threads and there is always contradictory advice so I am very lost.
Do I apply for the 'affirmation of marriage status' form on the UK gov website? That form is worded as if it is for unmarried persons and also asks what date and location I'm going to be married in, which makes me think that is the wrong form for someone who is already married. Don't want to pay £75 for the wrong form.
I have heard I need to get a "kor ror 22" and also certify my UK marriage certificate then get it translated but not sure how to go about it.
Can anyone please shine some light on what I need to do?
An everything else question: When a foreigner applies for work in Thailand is it necessary, or perhaps preferable, to have qualifications and other documents (in English) translated into Thai and legalized? TIA
I need some documents translated and stamped and before I booked an appointment to MFA here: [members only] but now I don't find any booking options. Anyone that can advise me where I can book now? Or is it just show up?
To quality for an extention of 1 year to my 90 non immigrant O permission to stay in thailand based on marriage I must submit my marriage certificate in thailand. My marriage certificate is a uk one. Has anyone just submitted a uk certificate or did you have to get it legalizes in the uk first and them do anything else with it.
Ok clever people. My thai daughter in law apparently needs her marriage certificate verified at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Phuket. So she can send to US embassy. Mr.Google has failed us. Any ideas?
My husband is a thai national but are not living in Thai at the moment. May i seek your kind help to clarify the requirements of spouse visa ? (The checklist was download from IO website, hope it is correct):
1. Pt6.2 & 6.3 - overseas marriage require letter from embassy or consulate and legalization division, is that mean we need to get their verification doc supporting?
2. Pt8 - as he is not in Thai now, is employment and monthly income proof of my husband in Thailand a must item for spouse visa application?
First off I hope that everyone's paperwork has been smooth during these strange times.
I will be applying for a non-o trailing spouse visa for my wife. Does anyone know if the govt. here requires that the marriage document is translated in-country by a recognized translation service, or would an official translation to English from the home country suffice?
How long do you have to be married before i can apply to be included as a spouse on a my partners work permit?
Getting married in the UK in October.... Will return to Thailand 4 weeks later... How long is it before we can apply or does each embassy etc have their own timescales? Thanks in advance for help.
