Hello everyone, so if I’m renting my villa out in Thailand on Airbnb short term rentals, of course this is no problem while on a dtv right ? As long as I’m not working in the home cleaning, welcoming guests into the property ect?
I came through Phuket Sandbox with 45 days exempt and stay in Chiang Mai in an Airbnb atm. I want to do the 30 day extension now but from what I read the Immigration Office needs you to have a TM30. I don't know if my Airbnb host filed that TM30, and I sent her messages several times, but she's not answering for over a week so I assume she didn't, but I don't know...like Schrödingers TM30 lol.
I stayed in a Phuket Sha+ Hotel so I guess there was a TM30. Then I stayed one night in a hotel in Chiangmai before going to the Airbnb which is booked for 3 months. So the Chiang Mai Immigration should have the TM30 from the one night hotel I guess?
What would happen if I just go to Immigration for the extension and write in my Airbnb Adress? If it's not filed for this adress will I get a fine? If I just pay the fine will i still get the extension?
My other option would be to check in a hotel for a few days to do the extension and then hope the airbnb situation clears up next month because my stamp now is until November 3.
Hello, my wife and I came on a 60 day tourist visa. We extended for one month, but now we need the covid extension because we are waiting on a US embassy visa appointment (Friday) and our flight (August 8).
I went to check at immigration today and they said we need a T-30 form for where we are staying. However, our Air B&B host said they "don't usually do that for a short term stay".
I think they are still required to? Does anybody know more or have any suggestions? Like, what if we were staying at a hotel?
Hi guys, im thinking of booking an air bnb for the first few weeks when i first arrive but i keep seeing about some requirement for a hotel to register a new guest within a certain time after arriving in the country. Is this true and can an air bnb host do this?
Also is it still possible to get a 30 day extension on a 30 day visa at an immigration office?
I live in the US. I will be traveling to Thailand in August on a Tourist Visa (have not applied yet). I am looking at both Hotels and AirBnB for place to stay. I read in news many months ago about issues with AirBnB operating in Bangkok. On the Visa application, they request where I will be staying, "Place to stay in Thailand".
My question: Does anyone have experience with an AirBnB booking, versus regular hotel booking, having a negative affect with a Tourist Visa application? I realize this is minor detail, but thought I would I ask.
Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and advice!
