How can I get a TM30 form from my AirBnB host for a COVID extension in Thailand?

I'm shutting this down:

1. Short term AirBnBs are technically illegal because they are operating without a hotel license. The property owners either don't feel comfortable submitting a TM30, OR can't because they are out of the country.

2. To my knowledge, there is no way to self-file a TM30 if you are staying at a short term AirBnB. At best, the immigration officer may fine a person asking for the extension of stay no more then 1,600 THB for failure to file the TM30; for Bangkok it's usually 800 THB. At worse, the immigration office will simply not even look at the extension of stay application.

3. Staying the night at a hotel/ hostel/ etc., and using their TM30 is a possibility, however make sure the hotel does file a TM30. Some do, and some don't.

4. IF you arrived on a full page tourist sticker where you are stamped in for 60 days, you would go to Changwatanna for an extension of stay based on tourism. If you arrived on a visa exempt where you were stamped in for 45 days, you would go to Muang Thong Thani.

If you are in Bangkok you might be able to self-file your TM30, but I'm not quite sure how they handle Airbnb since they usually want to see your lease if you self file.

I think it depends on immigration. I just got my covid extension from changwattna bangkok and they didn’t ask for it.

IF the AirBnB owner is in Thailand, they can submit the TM30 online. I believe the Android application works best.
