So today I called and asked a couple questions as a veteran receiving disability benefits. I was told that not only is disability and school stipends not accepted as a reason to get a visa approved but also rental properties were not a reason to get a visa approved. he said that my best option was to get a remote job or to enroll in a class out in Thailand. he also let me know that the music option is only for any type of concert that is a year-long going to one or two concert even if they are months apart will not get you approved. Unless you are performing multiple concerts that are far apart. Also let me know signing up for anything that is less than two or three months will not get you approved a two week cooking class or an appointment that is less than 60 days apart will get denied. This is from an Embassy worker that I was blessed to speak to without paying or completing an application. He also lmk that we aren’t supposed to call them for that lol 😂 but he was nice.
Hi. I’m currently in Thailand now, have a 6 month rental. I am enquiring with someone about getting an educational visa. I only want to be here 6 months, I’ve been here 1.5 month currently. Am I best to get the educational visa or extend my 60 day visa by a further 30 days, do a visa run and spend a week in Malaysia for example, then return? Will I be able to get another extension when I return? So that I can spend a further 60 + 30 days here. I am happy to get the educational visa but I am just weighing up options as I only intend to be here 6 month in total. Thank you
So we have a slight change of plans, but our 60 days end on the 25th.
We were supposed to do 2 weeks Kuala Lumpur and then come back to do a house sitting for Christmas/New Year (4 weeks total) and while deciding what we want to do next.
Now my kids have decided they want to stay on Koh Tao for long term.
Would it be possible to get the 30 day extension in time or is it too late?
After that I will be looking into the educational visa, because I wanted to learn Thai anyway
I’m seeking some information and advice. I’m planning to apply for a DTV in Australia as I will be visiting for educational purposes. Currently I am living in Thailand. Can I apply for the visa while I’m in Australia, or do I need to apply before arriving? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Are there any Thai language programmes you can do that would likely be valid for an educational visa, but that are held on-line? OR family orientated language programmes?
I really want to learn the Thai but as I’m traveling out there just with my 8 year old son, I won’t have any kind of childcare as an option.
Hello. Has anyone been approved a Thai Soft Power DTV Visa? In case so, what kind of proof of confirmation to attend the activity (muay thai, massage course etc) have you sent? Do you need to send a one year confirmation? Can be shorter? I understund you have to pay on advance to the gim or school to have the letter... Is it ok with a 1 week sor 15 days course letter? If anyone has done it already i would love to know how it works... Thank you so much!
