Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for a DTV through a culinary school in Phuket. I’ve been offered to buy an invitation certificate, but I’d rather find a place that allows me to actually take classes. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Also, for those who have applied for the DTV, what was the process like? Is it easier than applying as a worker? And do you think there will be fewer questions about taxes and other things?
I’d really appreciate any advice, as I’m still figuring out the best way to go about this.
I am looking into coming to Thailand to study (Thai Language) beginning the end of July, when a new semester starts. I'm still undecided on a school, but I notice each one has slightly different procedures for applying for an ED visa.
As an Australian, I am able to obtain a 3-month visa to start, but from there, the procedures start to differ, albeit slightly.
I also need to arrive before semester start to arrange a place to live.
Does anyone have their own experience with ED visas they can share, like the steps involved, places to live, local bank accounts, etc.?
If you need to know more from me, let me know too.
If I go to Thailand on a 60-days tourist visa - will I have a problem with the airline if my return ticket is in 6 months? I plan to extend my stay in Thailand up to six month to study and practice some Thai, but not in a school.
Can the airline decline to bring me to Thailand? I will use Eva Air
Hello, I was wondering I could get help on some questions I have on my Non-Immigrant ED visa I am applying for through the Thaievisa here in the US. I plan on going to Thailand to study (at a language school not a university or college).
One of the fields is asking my start and end date under programme of study and I’ve been told about the 90 day period and having to extend it. My course is 10 months (we don’t have a concrete start date so I’m having to guess at that but my end would be 10 months after that) so I wasn’t sure if I would put my start and then the end 10 months after or do the start and then only put the end at 90 days after the start since they only do it for 90 days at a time? (I hope that made sense)
Another one would be under intended date of departure would I then have to do the same thing and do 90 days or the 10 months?
Then under the Place of Stay section I chose the option “private property” since I’m staying at my boyfriends parents place but it still asks for accommodation name so I was wondering what I would put there?
Sorry there are so many questions. Thank you for any help you are able to give me!
Hello everyone... I want to apply for an ED visa through a Thai language school.. I made my search and found three places to choose from .. and I was thinking about paying a visit to the city so I can check the schools vibe and premises by myself.
Question is: Can I be in Thailand on a tourist visa while the school is getting the paper work and the approval letter from the Thai ministry of education for me... so I can take it by myself and fly outside Thailand to get my ED visa from a Thai consulate?
Or Do I have to be outside Thailand while the school prepare the documents needed for my ED visa?
Hi I am interested in exploring going for a 12 month education VISA in 2019 & I have found many Thai language schools that offer a VISA application service on sign up. Does anyone have any experience with this or recommended schools to share?
