So I got one question. I got my Visa approved recently. If I would change my employment to a new company. Do I have to apply for a new visa with the same process or what do I need to do?

Non-B visa (employment) question.

Currently in the US (LA Consulate jurisdiction). Have an offer for a job in Phuket. The employer is currently working on the work permit paperwork I'll need to submit through the e-visa portal.

On the LA Consulate website there is both a 90-day option ($80) and a 1 year option ($200).

My plan is to work high season for about 5 months.

My understanding is that near the 90 day mark I'll need to leave the country (she said go-to Malaysia) and re-apply for another 90 day visa. She made it sound like it's a one-day process. Does this sound correct?

She also said don't bother with the 1 year option as "they never get approved and it's a waste of money". Any thoughts here on why this option is more difficult?

If I could get the 1 year Non-B visa would that preclude me from having to leave the country at 90 days, or is the exit/entry still required on a 1 year Non-B visa also?

Just trying to understand the options.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Admin, Community,

I am currently employed in a software development company based outside Thailande. One of our clients is an IT company based in Thailand.

Over the past five years, I have been traveling to Thailand for meetings on a Non-B Visa. Our client used to assist with the required documentation for the visa. Currently, I hold a one-year business visa that remains valid until March 2024.

Recently, I have secured a job opportunity in Thailand. The prospective employer has informed me that in order to obtain a work permit, I need to apply for a new non-B Visa through their company. I have a few inquiries regarding this process :

- Do I really need a new visa ? (New employer under BOI, old one no)

- Can I initiate the application for a new Non-B Visa while my current one is still valid? Or would I need to cancel my existing visa?

- in cas of cancellation, how ?

I appreciate your forthcoming response.

Thank you

PS: Latest non-B visa and stamps attached.

Hello everyone! Advice needed!

My NON-IMM B visa expires on the 11th of September, while my airport stamp expires on the 30th of August. Can I do a border run and still get 90 days even if the visa expires in September?

Hello everyone,

So I will be getting a new passport this week (old one run out of pages), and I'm on a extension of stay valid until 31/Dec (which I can't extend further because it's linked to my employment and I will only get a new contract in Mar/23).

To sort my stay in Thailand for now, I'm planning on flying to Malaysia next week and return on the same day to receive a visa exempt entry stamp (I should get 90 days free).

My questions are: Do I really need to go to Chengwattana to transfer my extension stamp, even tho it is almost finish anyway? (or can I just go to the airport with both passports and leave the country). Also, on the trip to Malaysia, just to confirm if it would be straightforward to get a visa exempt entry once I'm back in the same day (as in, I'm expecting that my current extension will be terminated once I leave the country, and when I'm back the immigration will just stamp me as a normal tourist). I've never done this sorts of border runs, but my visa history is pretty clean (albeit long).

Thank you very much in advance!

Good day family

Please I’m on a Tourist and would arrive in Thailand on 23 November. I have a job offer awaiting me. Can I apply for a different visa type when I get there? I learnt the government have stopped issuing such visas to tourist. How true is that. Thank you

Any advise that might be useful in this circumstance?

I've been employed in Thailand for some time. Me and my family has a visa that is good through October 2023. I now intend to resign from my position by the end of February 2023, but I will have to remain in Thailand until our children's school year is up by mid-June 2023. Since I am employed here, they are currently on a dependent visa; however, after February 2023, even though our visa is still valid through October 2023, I will no longer be employed. When I resign, will they revoke our visa? What other options do I have besides this to be in Thailand till June 2023? If anyone has had a similar situation, kindly help.
