Hello. I got the 90 day visa based on marriage, but won’t be able to apply for the 9 month extension in time due to an issue outside my control. Do I need to cancel my current visa before I leave the country (like with an education visa)?
Hey everyone! I need a quick tip about my one-year Non-Immigrant ED visa for Thailand. It’s set to expire next month, and I’m planning to leave the country the day before it ends. After about 10 days, I’ll need to come back for a short visit, and I was thinking of using the 60-day visa exemption on arrival.
Someone told me that even though my Non-ED visa will already have expired by the time I return, I still need to request its cancellation. Does anyone have firsthand experience? Is it really necessary? I’d like to avoid any extra bureaucracy!
Any advice or insights would be super appreciated. Thanks in advance!
The flight I need out of Thailand decreases in price by 10K (baht) 1 day after my 180 days is up. If I exit 1 day after my DTV visa stamp am I likely to lose the visa? I’m on an ED Visa currently which expires on 13 of January. My school sent me with cancellation documents to immigration division 1 with the claim that I need to cancel my ED visa before leaving Thailand.
I can’t understand why should I go through the trouble of commuting, waiting in line and wasting time just to cancel a visa instead of it being automatically expired once I leave the country.
Does anyone have any insight/advice? Will I be okay without cancelling my visa before leaving Thailand?
