I think I know the answers to my two questions but I would like to ask them anyway to get confirmation.

1 If I enter Thailand with a non O based on visiting Thai family, do I need to inform immigration if I leave the country within the 90 days?

2 Would there be any problem applying for another non O, at a later date, for example 6 months later, either in my home country or in Thailand, for the same reason, and with the intention of applying for an extension of stay based on marriage?

TIA

Hello, everyone!

My apologies for the question, as it's not perfectly visa related.

I've heard that people holding Non-immigrant visas based on marriage to Thai person don't need to change it to Non-B in order to obtain Work Permit if they need it.

Recently I've got one year Extension of stay based on marriage. I did it in the local Immigration Office right after my Extension of stay based on Non-ED visa finished. So I don't have any visa now. Just an Extension of stay for one year.

The question is:

Is it still possible to get a WP if I have any job here? Or do I need to apply for Non-B visa anyway?

And one more thing. I've heard also that if my Thai wife has some business here (100% Thai company), then she can hire me (as her husband) and give WP for me.

So... Is it the same process like for any other company (1 mln baht capital for each foreigner, 2 or 4 Thai employees, etc...) or is it a more simple process like "helping my wife in family business" thing? And what is the minimum size of business she can have to be able to hire her husband? Sorry, I don't know English good enough, but in my country it is called "individual entrepreneur", when someone is making a "company" consisting only of one person. And later he/she can hire some people, but the whole process of setting up company and paying taxes are much simpler than any other kind (for example, LLC).

Sorry again about being not perfectly visa related. But the knowledge of people in this group is awesome. And moat of the times significantly more reliable than any other source of information.

If anybody wants, I can share my experience of getting Extension of stay based on marriage without leaving The Kingdom.

Thank you!

I went to Thai embassy in Hanoi to enquire about entering Thailand with marriage visa. They said as i am leaving my employment in Vietnam i cannot enter with marriage visa, only a 3 month single entry. I should then apply for the one year marriage visa once in the country. Does this differ depending on which embassy or country you apply?
