#insurance I am currently in Thailand on extension of stay based on retirement with the OA visa, due to renew in July. I currently have the 400,000 insurance. Will I need to have the 100,000 us dollar policy to renew my extension? Or is that not in effect until September?
I am American. I have a one year O-A retirement visa. When I applied for my Visa from within the United States last year, I was able to meet the financial requirement by showing my US Bank balances to the Thai Embassy in the US. I believe this is something that started to be allowed a few years ago.
Now I am in Thailand and would like to renew my O-A retirement Visa from inside Thailand. Will they accept a statement of my US bank balances as they do at the Thai Embassy in the US? Or will they only accept money in a Thai bank as I have been reading?
I’m planning to come over to Thailand from Scotland in December to Marry my Thai Fiancé and setup life to stay in Thailand. Can someone please advise what is the requirement for life insurance, do I need it for visas to stay in Thailand, can I buy it in the UK but will Thai government accept it if required?
Does an onward ticket have to be within a certain amount of days of arrival? Travellers who arrive with a setv don't have to leave within 90 days if they arrive with a visa, get an exemption and then extend a further 30 days.
