Hello, I come from a visa exemption country which means I will be given a 30 days when I enter Thailand. Is there any way I can remain in Thailand for more than 30 days? I am below 50 years old.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are from a visa exemption country and receive a 30-day stay upon entering Thailand, there are options to extend your stay beyond this period. You can apply for a 30-day extension at your local immigration office, which requires a fee and an onward ticket. Alternatively, you can apply for a Tourist Visa before arriving in Thailand, granting you 60 days on entry with the possibility of a 30-day extension, allowing a total stay of 90 days without leaving Thailand. Be sure to have a return ticket for both the initial stay and any extensions.
Thank you so much for all the information, appreciated

You can apply for a 30 days extention to your 30 days visa exempt.

But more expensive, 1900 Baht + onward ticket within the 1. 30 days.
And have to use valuable holiday time to find, go to and wait at a Immigration office, instead of applying for 60 day visa from the comfort of your homeoffice.

Apply for 60 days tourist visa, which can be extended 30 days, without leaving Thailand.

Remember a onward ticket is needed within the 60 days.
More help can be found at the Thai Embassy website in your country.
hello thank you for the info, just to clarify, do you mean that I apply for a tourist visa and will be given a 60 days upon arrival in Thailand. At the same time I need to have a return ticket within 60 days? And during this 60 days in Thailand, I can apply for another 30 days extension (90 days in total) meaning I will need to change my return flight (originally within 60 days of my arrival)?

If going for the 60 day touristvisa you need a ticket out of Thailand within the 60 days.
If going for 30 days visa excempt you need a ticket out of Thailand within the 30 days.
Both can be extended at immigration with 30 days.
With 60 days touristvisa, then you can stay 60 + 30 days without leaving Thailand.
With visa excempt then you can stay 30 + 30 days in Thailand, but then have to leave Thailand and return on new visaexcempt, to get up to 90 days.
