I have a retirement visa. Had the 800,000 baht in my Thai bank. Building a home and it has gone below 400,000 baht.

My renewal is due in March 2026.

I have today transferred 400,000 baht to top up my Thai account.

Will there be any repercussions for letting it go below 400,000 baht?

I have searched and am unable to find any reference to maintaining a bank balance of 400,000 baht.

Does anyone know of an agent or service that can help with the DTV application for self-employment out of Phuket or Koh Samui? I’m feeling a bit nervous about handling it on my own. I just arrived in Thailand and want to make sure I follow the best process. We are married. For a retirement visa, do we both need to have 800k in a Thai bank (1600 total) or will 800k be sufficient for both of us. What are options if we don’t have the 1600k but want to stay for a year? TIA.

Depend visa extension questions, we've been told to provid our marriage certificate date less than 3 months by our lawyer. it seems a tight timeline as we need to have it shipped from France. I plan to have a return flight returning around six months later with a flexible ticket.

Do I need to show a return within 60 days or will they be fine with a return flight six months later?
